Founded in 2020, Present Helpers, Corp is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization nurturing the emotional and soul health of youth in disadvantaged households in Prince George’s County, Maryland, by fostering an environment of fun, joy, and excitement at Christmas time by donating toys.
FROM OUR PRESIDENT
On behalf of Present Helpers, Corp, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we are committed to donating toys to youth in disadvantaged households in Prince George’s County, Maryland, at Christmas time and nurturing their emotional and soul health by fostering an environment of fun, joy, and excitement.
In July 2007, I experienced an economic downturn finding myself unemployed and facing homelessness and by December, my son Jayden who was four years old at the time was eagerly anticipating with great joy the coming of Christmas. I did not have the means to buy toys that year and by the grace of God, two community groups in Prince George’s County selected Jayden’s name as their recipient for toy donations. Jayden audibly expressed that year, “This is the best Christmas ever!”
The act of kindness inspired me to continue to pay it forward by becoming a present help in someone else’s time of need, providing the same joy and excitement Jayden experienced, and expressing to others, that with God, all things are possible and there is hope.
